The Martys joined our Joe’s Place family in August of 2022 and have served as house parents to seven students during their time, creating a stable, predictable, and supportive home that has allowed residents to focus on their education. Under their guidance, every high school senior in the program during their tenure has graduated. We are profoundly grateful to the Martys for this outstanding accomplishment and for giving our residents an invaluable, never-ending gift that will help them achieve their long-term goals.
Well known for their love of the St. Louis Blues and Disney, Brandon and Angela have shared these passions with the residents through memorable vacations to Florida and outings to games and special events. They have also gone above and beyond to plan meaningful summer experiences, arranging excursions to places such as Hawaii and the Grand Tetons. Throughout the year, they have always remained a constant source of support for the young people in their care.
Day to day, the Martys have built solid routines and cultivated a genuine family environment at Joe’s Place. Sunday family dinners are a cherished tradition, offering time to connect, plan for the week ahead, and coordinate the household’s many extracurricular commitments—from athletics to tutoring to active social lives.
As full-time working professionals, Brandon and Angela model commitment, balance, and dedication to both their careers and their families. As they prepare to welcome a baby into their lives, we have every confidence they will embrace this new chapter with the same grace and enthusiasm they have shown here.
Brandon and Angela leave Joe’s Place better than they found it, and we are deeply grateful for their service, their mentorship, and the home they helped create for our residents.
As we prepare for this transition, details to apply to be the next house parents for Joe’s Place can be found HERE.
